Clothes: questions and Band 8 answers
The examiner asks three to five short questions on two or three everyday topics in the first four to five minutes. These are the 12 questions about clothes in the BandLadder test bank, with sample answers for the most frequent ones. Aim for two or three sentences each: answer, reason, one detail.

Where do you usually buy your clothes?

Have the kinds of clothes you like changed in recent years?
My tastes have definitely shifted towards a more timeless and understated aesthetic lately. When I was younger, I experimented with bold patterns and bright colours, but now I gravitate towards neutral tones and classic silhouettes that feel more professional and put-together.
How important are clothes and fashion to you?
They are quite significant as I believe your outfit is a form of non-verbal communication. While I do not obsess over every fleeting trend, I enjoy using my clothing to express my personality and ensure I feel confident for whatever the day holds.
