1

Do you get on well with the people you work or study with?

Yes, I'd say I have a really good rapport with my team. We work in an open-plan office, so it's quite easy to chat and bounce ideas off each other. In fact, we often grab a coffee together first thing in the morning before tackling our daily tasks.

2

Do you prefer working on your own or with other people?

It really depends on the task, to be honest. When I need to focus on complex data analysis, I prefer working solo so I don't get distracted. However, for brainstorming sessions or planning major projects, collaborating with colleagues definitely leads to much better outcomes.

3

Do you spend time with your colleagues outside of work?

Occasionally, yes. A few of us usually go out for a meal on Friday evenings to unwind after a hectic week. Last month, we even organised a weekend hiking trip to the countryside, which was a brilliant way to bond away from our desks.

4

What makes a good colleague, in your opinion?

I think reliability is crucial. It makes a huge difference when you can trust someone to pull their weight and meet deadlines without constant reminders. Being approachable and having a positive attitude also helps keep morale high, especially when everyone is under pressure.

5

Have your relationships with your workmates changed over time?

Definitely. When I first joined my current company, I felt quite reserved because everyone was so experienced. But over time, as we've shared heavy workloads and solved tricky problems together, I've become much more confident and built genuine friendships with several of them.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
