1

Do you often wear dresses?

Not really, to be honest. I usually stick to jeans and comfortable trainers for everyday wear because they are far more practical for commuting on the underground. I only tend to put on a dress when there is a formal event or perhaps a summer garden party.

2

What kind of dresses do you prefer to wear?

I lean towards simple, casual maxi dresses made of breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. I find bright colours a bit overwhelming, so I usually go for neutral shades like navy or olive green, especially when I am out for lunch with friends at the weekend.

3

Did you wear dresses much when you were younger?

Yes, quite a lot, actually. My mother used to dress my sister and me in matching floral dresses whenever we visited our grandparents on Sundays. I was not particularly keen on them at the time because they made it difficult to climb trees in the local park.

4

Do people in your country wear dresses for special occasions?

Definitely. For events like weddings or graduation ceremonies, women almost always opt for elegant evening gowns or traditional silk dresses. It is seen as a sign of respect for the host, and people really enjoy the chance to dress up and look their best.

5

Have your preferences in clothing changed over the years?

I would say so. Back when I was a teenager, I used to follow every passing fashion trend, regardless of how uncomfortable it was. Nowadays, I prioritise comfort and durability, so I invest in timeless pieces that will last for years rather than fast fashion.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
