1

What do you usually do in the evening?

Usually, I start by cooking a simple dinner, maybe some pasta, and then I like to unwind on the sofa. To be honest, I mostly just watch a crime drama on the telly or read a few articles on my mobile phone before heading to bed around eleven.

2

Do you prefer spending your evenings at home or going out?

I definitely lean towards staying in, especially after a hectic day at work. Going to a bustling pub or a restaurant can be quite draining, so I would much rather put my feet up in my living room with a hot cup of chamomile tea and a novel.

3

Is your evening routine the same on weekdays and weekends?

Not really, no. On weekdays, everything is quite structured because I have to be up early the next day. But on Friday and Saturday nights, I tend to let my hair down, so I might invite a few friends over for a takeaway and stay up well past midnight.

4

Did you have a fixed evening routine when you were younger?

Yes, my parents were quite strict about it. As soon as I got home from primary school, I had to finish all my homework before dinner. Afterwards, I was allowed an hour of cartoons, but I had to be tucked into bed by eight thirty sharp.

5

Would you like to change anything about your current evening routine?

I would love to cut down on my screen time, if I am being honest. At the moment, I tend to scroll mindlessly through feeds right before sleeping, which ruins my rest. I would much rather swap that for half an hour of light stretching or reading.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
