1

Do you often carry an identity card with you?

Yes, pretty much always. I keep my driving licence tucked into my wallet because it serves as my main form of identification. Just last week, I needed it to collect a parcel from the local post office, so it really pays to have it on hand.

2

How often do you need to use an identity card?

Not every single day, to be honest, but fairly regularly. I mostly bring it out when I'm dealing with official admin, like opening a bank account or checking into a hotel during a weekend break. Other than that, it just sits quietly in my pocket.

3

Did you have an identity card when you were younger?

Not until I was about sixteen, actually. Before that, children didn't really need one where I grew up, except perhaps a school card to borrow library books. I remember feeling quite grown-up when I finally received my first national identity card in secondary school.

4

Do you prefer a physical identity card or a digital one on your mobile phone?

I'd probably lean towards a digital version. It's much more convenient having everything stored securely on my mobile phone, as I rarely leave the flat without it. Having said that, physical cards are still a handy backup if your phone runs out of battery.

5

Do you think everyone should have to carry an identity card in the future?

I'm a bit torn on that. On one hand, it makes security and public services run much more smoothly. But on the other hand, some people might worry about privacy issues. Personally, I suppose it's practical as long as personal data is properly safeguarded.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
