1

Do you laugh a lot?

I'd say so, yes. I try to find humour in everyday situations because it keeps my mood up. For instance, my flatmate and I usually end up in fits of laughter every evening over something silly that happened at work.

2

What kinds of things make you laugh?

Mostly dry, witty humour and silly everyday mishaps. I'm not really into slapstick comedy, but I love witty banter between friends or quick-witted panel shows on television. Even a funny animal video on my mobile phone can easily crack me up.

3

Do you prefer watching comedy films alone or with other people?

Definitely with others. Laughter is contagious, so watching a funny film with friends makes the whole experience much livelier. We often get together on a Friday night, and sharing a good chuckle over a film is brilliant for letting off steam after a busy week.

4

Did you laugh more when you were younger?

Probably, yes. When I was a child, I had fewer responsibilities, so I used to giggle endlessly at almost anything with my cousins during the summer holidays. As an adult, life gets slightly more hectic, so I suppose I laugh a bit less spontaneously now.

5

Do you think you are good at making other people laugh?

I'm not a natural comedian, but I think I can hold my own. I usually rely on self-deprecating jokes or funny storytelling to cheer my mates up when they're feeling a bit down, and it usually does the trick.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
