1

Do you usually look for promotions when you go shopping?

Definitely, yes. I try to be quite sensible with my money, so I always keep an eye out for special offers or clearance racks. Just last weekend, I managed to get a lovely winter coat for half price at a high-street clothing shop.

2

What kind of promotions do you find most appealing?

I think buy-one-get-one-free deals on everyday groceries are probably my favourite, simply because they save you a decent amount over time. I regularly stock up on things like pasta and tinned tomatoes whenever my local supermarket runs those offers.

3

Have you ever bought something just because it was on promotion?

To be honest, I have fallen into that trap a few times. A couple of months ago, I bought an expensive blender because it had a massive discount, but it has basically been sitting in my kitchen cupboard untouched ever since.

4

Do you prefer shopping for deals online or in physical shops?

I definitely prefer doing it online because it is so much easier to compare prices across different websites. In physical shops, going through crowded sales rails can get pretty exhausting, whereas online you can find the best bargain in just a few clicks.

5

Do you think companies offer too many promotions nowadays?

I suppose they do, especially with constant promotional emails and pop-up vouchers. Sometimes it feels like businesses artificially inflate their original prices just so they can advertise a huge reduction, which can be a bit misleading.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
