1

What do you usually do to relax?

To be honest, I usually curl up on the sofa with a good crime novel or listen to some acoustic music. After staring at a computer screen all day for work, doing something offline really helps me decompress and clear my head.

2

Do you prefer relaxing alone or with other people?

It depends on my mood, really. If I've had a hectic week dealing with lots of people, I definitely prefer some quiet solitude at home. But on weekends, having a leisurely cup of tea and a catch-up with close friends is equally therapeutic.

3

Where is your favourite place to unwind?

I'd have to say my local botanical gardens. It's just a ten-minute walk from my flat, and sitting on a bench surrounded by greenery helps me switch off instantly from the noise of the city.

4

Do you find it easy to switch off at the end of the day?

Not always, if I'm being completely honest. I tend to overthink things from work, so I often have to make a conscious effort to put my mobile phone in another room so I'm not tempted to check work emails before bed.

5

Did you have more time to relax when you were younger?

Without a doubt, yes. Back when I was at school, my holidays felt endless, and I had virtually no adult responsibilities. These days, life is far busier, so I really have to carve out time deliberately just to rest.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
