1

Do you often wear trousers?

Yes, almost every single day, actually. They're just so practical for getting around the city, especially when I'm cycling to university. I've got a couple of pairs of dark denim jeans that I practically live in from Monday to Friday.

2

What kind of trousers do you prefer to wear?

I tend to go for loose-fitting cotton chinos or straight-leg jeans. Comfort is definitely my top priority because I spend long hours sitting at a desk, so anything too tight or restrictive is an absolute no-go for me.

3

What colours of trousers do you usually choose?

I generally stick to neutral shades like navy, charcoal grey, and beige. They're just much easier to match with different shirts and jumpers. I did buy a mustard-yellow pair once on a whim, but they ended up sitting in my wardrobe untouched.

4

Did you wear trousers often when you were a child?

I did, especially during the winter months. My parents usually dressed me in sturdy corduroy trousers or thick tracksuits so I wouldn't scuff my knees when playing out in the garden with my older brother.

5

Do you think your choice of trousers will change in the future?

I suppose it might, particularly if my job requires a stricter dress code. If I end up working in corporate finance, I'll probably have to invest in some tailored woollen trousers rather than sticking to the casual chinos I wear now.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
