1

Do you often use a vacuum cleaner at home?

Yeah, I'd say a couple of times a week. I live in a flat with hard floors and a few rugs, so dust tends to build up quite quickly, especially around the hallway. Giving the place a quick once-over on weekends usually keeps things reasonably tidy.

2

What kind of vacuum cleaner do you have?

At the moment, I just have a lightweight cordless stick vacuum. It’s really handy because there are no messy cables to untangle, and I can easily carry it around whenever I need to tackle awkward corners.

3

Did you help with vacuuming when you were a child?

Not very often, to be honest. My parents usually handled the heavy chores, but occasionally I was tasked with doing my own bedroom. Back then, we had this massive, bulky upright machine that was surprisingly heavy and deafeningly loud, so I dreaded using it.

4

Do you prefer using a vacuum cleaner or a broom?

Definitely a vacuum cleaner. Sweeping with a broom tends to just flick dust into the air rather than actually getting rid of it. A decent vacuum is far more efficient at picking up crumbs and hair in one go.

5

Would you like to have an automatic robot vacuum in the future?

I’d love one, actually. It would save so much time if a little gadget could just glide around and keep the floors spotless while I'm out at work. As long as it doesn’t bump into the furniture too much, it’d be a great investment.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
