Alfred University English requirements by level
From Alfred University's undergraduate international admissions page and its graduate international page. Neither page sets IELTS band minimums.

Graduate exemptions
The graduate page says all international applicants who have not received a bachelor's or master's degree from a US institution must take one of the listed tests. It exempts only English-speaking citizens of Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Nigeria, Trinidad and the West Indies.
The graduate page lists TOEFL and IELTS only. It does not list Duolingo or PTE for graduate applicants, and the undergraduate list does not include PTE.

Other application points
Undergraduate applicants must send official English test scores and a certified bank statement with the application; the page says an application cannot be reviewed without proof of funds. Graduate applicants send official transcripts in English, and credits from outside the US are evaluated case by case after a recognised agency such as WES has assessed them.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admission cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Alfred University programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Alfred University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
