What PTE score do you need for Ball State University?

Ball State accepts PTE Academic and PTE Express; the page does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core. Official scores must be sent electronically to Ball State Admissions by the testing agency; the page gives school code 1051 and admissions@bsu.edu. Scores are good for 24 months and older scores are not accepted. Your programme or department may set different requirements.

On the same page, IELTS Academic 6.5 matches PTE 53 for full admission and IELTS 6.0 matches the Academic Bridge Program.

The Academic Bridge Program lets students start degree classes while studying part-time in the final level of the Intensive English Institute. Conditional admission places you in the Intensive English Institute until you meet the requirement, and since spring 2024 it needs a test score. All doctoral and online programmes, and a listed set of graduate programmes, do not offer conditional admission.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Ball State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
