Test rules and how PTE compares
The page gives a TOEFL school code (4110) but no PTE sending method or validity period, and it does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.
On the same page, undergraduate IELTS is 5.5 with at least 5.5 in each section, and graduate IELTS is 6.5. PTE sets an overall score only.

If you fall short
Undergraduates can also meet the requirement with SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550 or a college-level English course with a C or higher; CSUB will not accept online English courses. CSUB may waive the requirement for students from a listed set of countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Singapore, and for graduate applicants with a bachelor's degree from an accredited US university. The page does not describe conditional admission.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your CSUB programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
