Test rules and how PTE compares

IELTS is 6.0 overall for undergraduates and 6.5 for graduate study on the same pages.

If you fall short
Freshmen who attended three years and graduated from a high school in the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK or a listed Caribbean country do not need a test. Graduate applicants are exempt with a bachelor's degree from one of those countries. The pages do not describe conditional admission.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your CSUCI programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
