Test rules and how PTE compares
The page says to send PTE scores online through your PTE Academic account, and that English exams must be valid within the last two years. It does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.
On the same table, IELTS Academic is 5.5 for undergraduates, 6.0 for graduates and 7.0 for post-graduates. The page sets a higher IELTS (6.5) for the MBA, MPA and MSA and a higher TOEFL for some English and communication master's, but gives no higher PTE figure for those programs, so confirm with your department.

If you fall short
The table accepts successful completion of Level 3 of the CSUSB English Language Program for undergraduates and Level 4 for graduate and post-graduate study in place of a test score.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your CSUSB programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
