Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Johor Bahru?

Pearson's test centre finder listed one PTE centre in Johor Bahru on 30 October 2026: I- World Technology Sdn Bhd, a partner venue and the only one in southern Peninsular Malaysia.

Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose the test first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

PTE in Johor Bahru costs MYR 865, well below the USD 310 Pearson charges across the causeway in Singapore; IELTS is also cheaper than Singapore's SGD 454.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Johor Bahru and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the same identity document you entered when you booked.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Johor Bahru or the nearest city with a centre, and pick a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport, and Malaysia is not on its list of country exceptions, so bring your passport. Anyone testing outside their country of citizenship must show a passport in any case. A MyKad will not do for PTE.

Results: IDP's session listings say 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
