IELTS runs in one Bhutanese city: Thimphu. On 14 October 2026 the ielts.org finder listed IDP Education India's computer centre at Serbithang, which is UKVI approved and offers One Skill Retake. IELTS test centres in Bhutan

Centres come from the ielts.org test centre finder and IDP India's Thimphu page. We give the city and area, not street addresses; your booking confirmation names the room.

If you live outside Thimphu

Paro, Punakha, Phuentsholing and the eastern districts have no IELTS venue, so plan a trip to Thimphu; your booking confirmation gives the venue and the time of each part of the test.

PTE has centres in both Thimphu and Paro, so if you live in Paro and your university or visa accepts PTE Academic, it may be the shorter journey. See PTE test centres in Bhutan.
