IELTS centres listed in Iran
The list comes from IDP's Iran test centre finder, read on 10 October 2026. IDP also has date pages for Ahvaz, Karaj, Kerman, Rasht, Sari, Tabriz and Zanjan, with no centre attached. IRSAFAM describes itself as the only centre in Iran for IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills (IRSAFAM). We leave out street addresses.

Where Iranian candidates are testing instead
IELTS Tehran registers candidates for official IDP centres in Yerevan and Istanbul and asks for a passport valid for at least 7 months (IELTS Tehran). IRSAFAM books IELTS in Doha, Qatar, for QAR 1,390 paid in rials, and says the paper Test Report Form is handed over in Iran (IRSAFAM Qatar).
Turkey has the widest choice: the British Council tests in 24 Turkish cities, including Van and Erzurum in the east, and IDP in seven; see IELTS test centres in Turkey. Check IDP's Iran pages again before travelling: sessions may reopen, and a local test saves a trip. If you book abroad, the provider's rules in that country apply, including Turkey's passport-only ID rule for foreign candidates. Fees and refund rules are in IELTS exam fee in Iran.
