Test rules and how to send your score
The undergraduate requirement must be met within the last two years. For the class-exemption check, scores can be self-reported for admission, but if you need an I-20 or DS-2019, the testing agency must send the official report to IU Bloomington first. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.
On the same page, IELTS 6.5 meets the undergraduate requirement and IELTS 7.5 matches the class-exemption level of PTE 68.

If you fall short
Admitted students who do not reach the exemption level may be placed in English support courses by skill. The page lists PTE writing 70 or lower, listening 60 or lower and speaking 60 or lower as the triggers for the writing, listening and speaking courses, and offers the Indiana Academic English Test as another way to test out.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your IU Bloomington programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
