What IELTS score do you need for King's University College at Western?

You can skip the test if one of these is true: four full-time years of secondary school in English, two full-time years at an Ontario college in English, one full-time year of university in English, AP English 4 or higher, IB English HL (A1 or A2), IB English SL 4 or higher, GCE AS or A Level English at grade A, or IGCSE O Level English at grade A. IGCSE and GCE English as an Additional Language do not count.

In every case the classes must have been academic, taught in English and not ESL. The one-year university route names no country, so a full-time year at an English-medium university in India or Nigeria reads as qualifying; ask the Admissions Office to confirm.

If you are academically admissible but miss the English score, King's automatically admits you into an academic English program such as the English Boost Program, a nine-week summer program before your first term. Completing Fanshawe College's ESL program also meets the requirement, and King's points to the English Language Centre at Western as another option. You apply through OUAC.
