Kutztown PTE scores by applicant type
From Kutztown's policy STU-038, admission guidelines for undergraduate international students.
| Programme or band | PTE overall | Minimum per skill |
|---|---|---|
| Undergraduate first-year | 53 | No per-skill minimum printed |
| Undergraduate transfer | 53 | No per-skill minimum printed |
Test rules and how to report your score
First-year applicants must submit an official score with a test date within two years of the date they intend to enrol. The policy does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a Pearson code.
IELTS needs 6.5 overall and TOEFL iBT 79 in the same policy, so PTE 53 is Kutztown's equivalent to IELTS 6.5.

If you fall short
Applicants who live in a country where English is an official language meet the requirement. Transfer students with a year of US study, 24 credits taught in English and a C or better in English Composition may ask for the test to be waived. Other formal English reports are considered case by case.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Kutztown programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
