What Duolingo score do you need for Kwansei Gakuin University?

The IMC admission page says submitting an English proficiency test score is mandatory, and that an official medium of instruction certificate or a degree taught in English is not accepted in its place. The pages give no Duolingo validity period or sending instruction; email imc_admissions@kwansei.ac.jp if you are unsure how to submit it.

Applicants living in Japan take the Pattern A examination and applicants living overseas take Pattern B, and you cannot take both in the same spring or fall period.

For comparison, the same IMC page lists IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 85 or 4.5, TOEFL ITP 570, TOEIC 780, PTE Academic 55 and Cambridge CPE 169 as the other minimums.

The IMC pages list no conditional admission. The FAQ mentions English Communication and Advanced English Communication classes within the course, but you still need a qualifying score to apply. For the School of International Studies, use one of the tests in its handbook, taken within two years before applying (EIKEN excepted).

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Kwansei Gakuin programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
