What PTE score do you need for La Trobe University?

La Trobe calls IELTS its primary measure of English and accepts other tests where the score is equivalent. It warns that not all courses accept alternative tests and some set their own equivalences, so confirm that PTE is listed on your course page. Evidence of English must be no older than two years unless stated otherwise.

The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, combining sittings or a Pearson institution code. La Trobe's page does not list PTE Core. Pearson's PTE Core FAQ says PTE Core is initially only suitable for work and migration visa routes to Canada and that PTE Academic is the test accepted for university study.

The minimum for all graduate research degrees is IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0, which the same table puts at PTE 55 with the skill scores above.
