What IELTS score do you need for Leeds Trinity University?

Leeds Trinity's India page announces a temporary pause on new applications from students living in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir or Haryana, or who completed their studies at institutions in those regions, for intakes from September 2026 until further notice. Its Pakistan page says applications from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Ghana, Myanmar, Pakistan and Sudan are closed, regardless of country of residence, while the university reviews recent visa outcomes.

Direct postgraduate applications are open for January 2027 starts, with September 2027 opening later, and only nineteen taught courses are open to students who need a visa, including the MBA, Computer Science MSc, Data Science and AI MSc, Project Management MSc and Public Health MSc (postgraduate page). Applicants from South Asia and Africa must apply with the support of the regional team; direct applications from those regions without it are not considered.

Leeds Trinity accepts Class XII English at 65% from CISCE, CBSE or the Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Delhi and Tamil Nadu state boards, for most courses outside nursing and biomedical science. It also accepts degrees taught in English through UK transnational education with an MOI letter, degrees from Ecctis-recognised institutions in Nigeria and Ghana, and English-taught degrees from listed Nepali universities (not affiliated colleges).

To receive a CAS, unconditional offer holders must pay 50% of the first year's fees; for September 2026 entry, offer conditions were due by 31 July and visa funds by 21 August.

For a Student visa, UK Visas and Immigration asks for English at CEFR B2 for degree-level study and B1 below degree level, per gov.uk. At degree level, gov.uk adds, your university can assess your English itself and may ask you to take a different test.
