What IELTS score do you need for Linköping University?

University Admissions accepts IELTS Academic, IELTS Online, IELTS UKVI (Academic) and IELTS One Skill Retake (Academic), but not General Training or IELTS Indicator. It verifies scores online using your TRF number, and although IELTS says results are valid for 2 years, it can accept older results as long as they are still available online for verification.

For TOEFL it accepts iBT, Home Edition and Paper Edition, but not ITP, MyBest scores or Essentials. PTE results must be assigned to 'University Admissions in Sweden' in your PTE account. Duolingo is not among the tests listed.

Sweden's country instructions for India say you can meet the English requirement through upper secondary studies with English grades on a CBSE Senior School Certificate (from 2008 onwards) or a CISCE Indian School Certificate Class XII, or with English plus at least three other subjects taught in English. Polytechnic diplomas do not count.

There is no equivalent route for Nepal: upper secondary studies from Nepal do not meet the requirement, so Nepali applicants need a test or qualifying university study. A full degree from countries such as Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria, or 60 English-taught credits from the EU/EEA, UK, US or Australia, also meets English 6. Programmes can add specific requirements, so check LiU's programme page.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your LiU programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
