What PTE score do you need for Lund University?

Both University Admissions and the linguistics programme page accept PTE Academic Online alongside the test-centre PTE Academic. University Admissions asks you to upload a copy of your score report and assign your result to "University Admissions in Sweden" in your PTE account so it can be verified online. PTE Core is not mentioned.

For English 6, University Admissions asks IELTS 6.5 with no section below 5.5. For the linguistics master's, Lund asks IELTS 7.5 with normally no component under 7.0, so PTE 76 sits alongside a much higher IELTS bar.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

Lund's English requirements page explains that you can also meet English 6 through upper secondary or previous university studies, depending on your country. Native speakers with a high school diploma from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand are exempt from the linguistics master's test requirement. No pre-sessional route is described.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Lund programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
