What PTE score do you need for NUS?

The sheet gives PTE Academic a validity of two years and says only scores obtained within the validity period leading up to the start of the academic year will be accepted. It lists PTE Academic Online alongside the test-centre version. It does not mention PTE Core and gives no Pearson institution code, so send your score through your Pearson account to NUS when you apply.

On the same sheet, IELTS Academic needs 6.5 in Overall, Reading and Writing, TOEFL iBT 4.5 in the same three scores and C1 Advanced 180. IELTS Indicator and the One Skill Retake are not accepted, and only TOEFL scores from a single test date count.

The sheet does not describe conditional admission or an English pathway for applicants below 62. Other routes on the same list include MUET 240 (for 2021 examinations onwards) and the Singapore-Cambridge EL1119 at C6, so check whether one of those applies to you before retaking PTE.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your NUS programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
