Test rules and how to send PTE to New York Tech
The international page says Pearson PTE scores are submitted online and that all test scores are valid for two years. It does not mention PTE Academic Online.

If your PTE score falls short
Neither page describes a conditional route for a low PTE score. The graduate catalog waives the requirement for applicants who live or were educated in listed countries, including Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya, and the international page accepts an examination the Office of Admissions deems equivalent.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your New York Tech programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
