Test rules and the IELTS comparison
The page lists "Pearson PTE Academic" among the most commonly accepted tests and says faculties can still regulate levels or certificates not listed. It accepts TOEFL Home Edition, IELTS Indicator and IELTS Online by name, but says nothing about PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, validity or a Pearson code.
On the same page IELTS is 6.5 for B2 and 7.0 for C1, and TOEFL iBT is 85 or 95. At B2, OVGU's PTE figure of 70 is higher than the 59 many universities use, so check the level of your own programme.

If you fall short
Holders of the German Abitur are exempt up to and including C1, and some school leaving certificates and university degrees from English-speaking countries, such as an Australian or US high school diploma or British A-levels, also exempt you. The Data and Knowledge Engineering page reminds applicants to check the C1 column, not B2.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your OVGU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
