What TOEFL score do you need for Pittsburg State University?

Ask ETS to send your score to PSU electronically using university code 6336; no department code is needed. Institutional TOEFL and ITP TOEFL scores are not accepted. Nursing majors born outside the US must submit a passing TOEFL iBT, and a personal interview may be required.

For comparison, undergraduates need IELTS 6.0 with no band below 5.0. The graduate policy matches TOEFL 68 to IELTS 6.0 and, for programmes requiring more than 68, sets IELTS 6.5 with no band below 5.5.

Students without a passing score can be offered conditional admission for most programmes and must complete the highest level of PSU's Intensive English Program before starting academic coursework. Completing the Academic Preparation Course counts as the equivalent of a 79 TOEFL. Japanese students with a GTEC score of 1125 are exempt.
