Price and packages
Pearson lists a single test at US$35.99, a Bronze package (one test plus seven days of Pearson's official online practice questions) at US$59.99, and a Silver package (versions 1 and 2, one-month practice access and the Official Guide ebook) at US$89.99. Prices are charged in US dollars, with currency conversion by your bank (Pearson).
Buying the same version again gives you the same questions, so three versions means three different practice tests at most for PTE Academic.

Set-up matters: use a wired headset
Pearson says to use a wired headset with a microphone in Chrome or Firefox. A Bluetooth headset or laptop microphone may not record and can return a speaking score of 10 (help centre). Allow two quiet hours, and complete the microphone check before you start.
There is no rescore or appeal for practice tests, and you cannot get a refund once you have taken one.
How accurate is it, and what is free?
Pearson calls the result an indication only: you take it at home in more relaxed conditions, and your real score may be the same, lower or higher.
