Where can I take PTE in Cameroon?

The trip to Yaoundé adds cost and a long day, so plan to arrive the evening before a morning slot. IELTS, by contrast, runs in Douala and Bamenda as well as Yaoundé, which may matter more than the test format if travel is difficult.

Book early: with one centre, dates near a deadline can be scarce. Rescheduling is free while more than 14 days remain. One warning for nurses: the NMC accepts only IELTS Academic and OET, so PTE cannot be used for UK nursing registration, even though PTE Academic UKVI works for UK visas. Compare the options in OET vs PTE for nurses.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay. Pearson accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, and a voucher or promo code is entered at the payment step (Pearson booking guide). Your account name must match your passport exactly; it can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, never on test day, and a mismatch means no test and no refund.
