City and venue lists come from the British Council's booking system, searched for sessions up to March 2027, its dates page and the official ielts.org centre finder. We give venue names, not addresses; the confirmation email gives the exact location.

Choosing a centre
The fee is the same in every city, so choose on dates and distance. Yaoundé and Douala each have several venues and most of the dates; Bamenda has one venue but still had regular sessions into January 2027. The official centre finder lists the Writing-on-paper option at venues in Yaoundé and Douala.
For a UK visa, IELTS for UKVI had 8 sessions in Yaoundé and 6 in Douala between October 2026 and March 2027, far fewer than standard IELTS, so book it first (British Council UKVI page). Nurses should sit IELTS Academic at a centre, not IELTS Online, for the NMC; see IELTS for nurses in the UK.

Booking
Book online through the British Council and pay by card, or by bank transfer or deposit. Your Speaking test may be on a different day from the written parts, within seven days either side, and you are told 48 hours ahead. Full fees, ID rules and refunds are in IELTS exam fee in Cameroon.
