Where can I take PTE in China?

Four centres are Pearson's own professional centres (Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai North and Shanghai South); the rest are partner venues, many on university campuses. Pearson's list had no centre in Yunnan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Ningxia, Jiangxi or Shanxi, so test takers there travel to a neighbouring province. Rescheduling is free while more than 14 days remain.

Pick the test before the centre: PTE Academic for study and most migration, PTE Academic UKVI only if a UK visa asks for a SELT, PTE Core for Canadian immigration. Our PTE Academic vs PTE Core guide explains the difference.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay. Pearson accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, and a voucher or promo code is entered at the payment step (Pearson booking guide). Your account name must match your passport exactly; it can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, never on test day, and a mismatch means no test and no refund.

In China you can also pay by WeChat Pay or Alipay, or with a voucher from a Pearson-approved reseller. See PTE exam fee in China for the full price list, and take a free PTE mock test before you choose a date.
