Where can I take PTE in Kazakhstan?

With one centre, Almaty slots can fill up, so book well before your deadline and use the free reschedule window (more than 14 days before the test) as your buffer. A trip from Astana or the west adds flights and a night's stay to the USD 175 fee, and you must test with the passport that matches your myPTE account.

For most candidates outside Almaty, IELTS is easier to reach: IDP tests in 18 Kazakh cities and the British Council in 13. See IELTS test centres in Kazakhstan. If you can reach Almaty and your target accepts PTE, it is the cheaper test at most exchange rates.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay. Pearson accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, and a voucher or promo code is entered at the payment step (Pearson booking guide). Your account name must match your passport exactly; it can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, never on test day, and a mismatch means no test and no refund.
