Saint Louis University PTE minimum
The English proficiency page and the catalog policy give the same admission table.
| Programme or band | PTE overall | Minimum per skill |
|---|---|---|
| Admission minimum (university table) | 54 | None stated |
| Graduate programmes | 54 or more, set by programme | None stated |
Test rules and how to send PTE to SLU
SLU requires scores to be submitted directly by testing agencies and asks you to allow time for them to connect to your application portal. The English proficiency page says TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years but does not give a PTE validity period, and neither page mentions PTE Academic Online.
For comparison, the same table asks IELTS 6.5 against PTE 54. All incoming students take an English writing placement exam, and most international students take the Saint Louis University Writing Examination (SLUWE).

If your PTE score falls short
The English proficiency page says graduate applicants who do not meet direct-entry requirements are encouraged to apply to the English language programmes offered by INTO Saint Louis University. The catalog also accepts a college-level English course at a US college, or a high school curriculum completed in English.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SLU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
