What PTE score do you need for Southern Cross University?

The variations list on the same page puts osteopathic studies, nursing, occupational therapy, midwifery and social work at IELTS 7.0 with no band below 7.0, speech pathology at 8.0, the Graduate Diploma in Business at 6.5 with no band below 6.0, and the hotel leadership graduate certificate and diploma at 6.0 with no band below 5.5. Several postgraduate business, accounting and computing courses are listed at 6.5 overall.

The page notes that some of these courses cannot be packaged with English and that scores must have been achieved within the last two years. It does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core. Nursing and midwifery graduates also face a separate registration standard, which the page states in IELTS and OET terms.

SCU lists academic and English pathways with their IELTS entry levels: 5.5 with no band below 5.0 for the Undergraduate Qualifying Program, the Diplomas of Business and Science and the Associate Degree of Business, and 6.0 with no band below 5.5 for the Postgraduate Qualifying Program. Using the table above, those convert to PTE 42 (36) and 50 (42).

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SCU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
