Test rules, sending scores and the IELTS comparison
PTE Academic and PTE Academic Online are both accepted. Upload your score report (Online results must be uploaded) and, in your PTE account, assign the result to "University Admissions in Sweden" so it can be verified; unverified results are not accepted. No PTE validity period is stated, and PTE Core is not mentioned.
On the same page, English 6 is IELTS Academic 6.5 with no section below 5.5, and English 7 is 7.0 with no section below 6.
Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

Stockholm University does not offer preparatory English courses and does not accept late test results. Some programmes, for example in the Department of English, have higher compulsory requirements. Duolingo is not accepted.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Stockholm University programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
