Test rules and how to send your score

The graduate page asks for official results from a test of academic English. The engineering page says official PTE Academic score reports should be sent directly to Temple University. The pages give Temple's code 2906 for TOEFL, GRE and GMAT but no PTE code, and they do not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a validity period.

For comparison, first-year IELTS is 6.0 for university admission and 5.5 for bridge admission, while graduate IELTS is 6.5.

If you fall short

First-year applicants with PTE 50 to 52 fall in the University Bridge admission band. The graduate page does not list a lower band, so graduate applicants below 53 should ask their programme.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Temple programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
