UAB graduate PTE minimum
The figure comes from the Graduate School's international applicants page and is repeated on the MS in Computer Science admissions page. The undergraduate pages read for this guide publish no PTE figure.

Test rules and how to send PTE to UAB
The Graduate School page says scores must be from within two years of the application date; older scores are expired. Applicants must contact the testing agency to have official scores sent, and PTEA results can be sent electronically through the testing website. It does not mention PTE Academic Online.
For comparison, the same page asks IELTS 6.5 against PTEA 56, and accepts IELTS One Skill Retake and TOEFL MyBest scores.

If your PTE score falls short
The Graduate School page does not describe a conditional route. It may waive the test for a US degree with a GPA of 3.00 or higher, or for citizens of listed countries.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UAB programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
