What IELTS score do you need for the University of Alabama in Huntsville?

Graduate applicants whose first language is not English need TOEFL iBT 79 with no sub-score below 19 (or 4 on the new scale with no section below 3.5), IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 6.0, PTE Academic 59, Duolingo 110 with no sub-score below 105, TOEIC 670 (listening and reading), or the highest level of a CEA-accredited English program. You do not need a test if you graduated from an accredited US high school or university, hold an IB diploma, or your first language is English and you were schooled in English in a listed country where it is official. The list includes Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Singapore and South Africa (English-speaking); India and Pakistan are not on it.

Undergraduates need TOEFL iBT 72 with no sub-score below 18 (3.5 on the new scale), IELTS 5.5 with no sub-score below 5.5 (an overall 5.5 with one sub-score between 5.0 and 5.5 is reviewed individually), Duolingo 95 with no sub-score below 95, PTE Academic or Pearson English Express 51, or TOEIC 600.
