Why can't I find my university when sending PTE scores?

Usually because the institution does not yet recognise PTE formally. Pearson says you cannot send your score to an institution until it accepts PTE. Check the spelling in the search field first, then ask the admissions office which tests it accepts. Institutions that use Pearson's Score Report Website can also look up your result with your Score Report Code.

What the message means

If Pearson tells you that your chosen institution does not recognise the test, the scoring help page says the institution does not yet recognise PTE formally, and you will not be able to send your score to it until it accepts PTE.

Pearson keeps a searchable list of institutions that accept PTE Academic (PTE Academic FAQ). An institution that wants to start accepting PTE can apply through a form on Pearson's institutions page.

The Score Report Code alternative

Institutions can also find your result on Pearson's Score Report Website using your Score Report Code, the 10-character code at the top of your report. Pearson says the advantage is that they do not have to wait for you to share the score through myPTE (Pearson).

Paper and PDF copies are not accepted as proof, so do not rely on emailing your report.
