Test rules and how PTE compares with IELTS
The undergraduate page lists the test as "Pearsons" and the graduate page as PTE. Neither page mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson sending code.
Against IELTS on the same pages: undergraduate IELTS is 6.5, or 6.0 for CETA; graduate IELTS is 6.5 for most master's, 6.0 for MSCS and engineering, and 7.0 for doctoral. Each PTE figure lines up with the IELTS figure in the same band.

If you fall short
Undergraduates who do not meet the English requirement can start their degree within Hartford's International Pathway Program (IPP). Graduate applicants with a bachelor's or master's degree from a country where the native language is English qualify for a waiver.
