Kent's Duolingo rules
Duolingo must be achieved no more than two years before the start of the course. Kent lists it among non-SELT tests, which it accepts for academic study. Following UKVI feedback, Kent requires applicants from Pakistan to take an in-person test at an authorised centre, listing IELTS Academic or IELTS for UKVI (not online), TOEFL and Pearson.
For comparison, the same page sets IELTS Academic Good at 6.0 with 5.5 in each component and Very Good at 6.5 with 5.5.

If your Duolingo score is short
Kent runs pre-sessional English courses in person and online. If you have sat a test more than once, the page strongly encourages you to apply for one.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Kent programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
