How UNH handles TOEFL scores

Graduate applicants send TOEFL scores to the UNH Graduate School CEEB code 003918 (or 3918), and the Graduate School says TOEFL and related tests are good for two years. It states that submitted scores below its minimums are unacceptable and can lead to the application being inactivated until a qualifying score or a waiver is approved.

For comparison, the undergraduate page and the Graduate School both set IELTS at 6.5.

If your TOEFL score is below UNH's level

None of the pages describe conditional admission. Graduate applicants whose first language is English, whose prior education was in English, or who hold a US degree may request a waiver; applicants from English-speaking countries are exempt at the department's and Graduate Office's discretion. Undergraduates with SAT verbal scores of 500 or more, or who study at an English-medium school, can request a waiver when applying.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UNH programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
