What PTE score do you need for the University of Oslo?

The page lists "PTE Academic or PTE Academic Online". Results must be valid, meaning not older than two years, on the date of the application deadline. It does not mention PTE Core.

To send a PTE result, the page says to send your score report to the University of Oslo through your Pearson account and also upload a PDF of the score report to the application. It gives no institution code. Needing special test arrangements does not exempt you from the test.

On the same page, IELTS Academic is 6.5 with 6.5 in each component for most programmes and 7.5 with 7.0 in each for the European Languages group. IELTS One Skill Retake is not accepted.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

UiO lists exemptions instead of a pathway: Cambridge C2 Proficiency or C1 Advanced at 180 or above, B2 First with grade A (180), certain International Baccalaureate English results, and country-specific rules for applicants who completed upper secondary school or a year of university in English in listed countries. The page does not describe conditional admission, so a lower PTE score means retaking the test.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your University of Oslo programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
