What IELTS score do you need for the University of Padova?

The certificate list accepts IELTS One Skill Retake and TOEFL MyBest scores, and includes the IELTS home-based test and TOEFL Home Edition. Trinity ISE II/III, Gatehouse ESOL, the Pearson International Certificate and British Council Aptis are also listed.

Only valid certificates are accepted. Where a certificate has no expiry date, it must have been obtained within the two years before the international selection opened on 15 September 2026. You can upload the certificate after applying on apply.unipd.it, but no later than 31 July 2027.

Padova's exemptions list covers native speakers from named English-speaking countries such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Malta, and applicants whose previous education was entirely in English at an institution in one of those countries or in the EU or Schengen Area. Holders of the IB Diploma, European Baccalaureate, GCE/IGCE or a US high school diploma with three APs (scores 3 to 5) taught entirely in English are also exempt.

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria and Ghana are not on the list, so an English-medium degree from those countries does not replace a certificate at Padova.
