What PTE score do you need for the University of Padova?

The list names "Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) including remote/online test". Only valid certificates count, as defined by the test provider; where a certificate has no expiry date, it must have been obtained within two years of 15 September 2026, when international selection opened. The page does not mention PTE Core or a Pearson sending code; certificates are submitted through the apply.unipd.it portal.

On the same list, IELTS is 6.0 for B2 and 7.0 for C1, with IELTS One Skill Retake accepted. Separately, the list includes the Pearson English International Certificate (a different Pearson test, formerly PTE General) at Level 3 for B2 and Level 4 for C1.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

Certificates may be uploaded after the application, as long as they arrive by 31 July 2027, the deadline to complete enrolment. Padova also publishes a separate list of exemptions from the English certificate. Programmes taught in Italian may ask for English too, under each programme's regulations.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Padova programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
