Test rules and how to send your score

Both pages list PTE Academic among accepted tests. Neither mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson institution code, so send your score through your Pearson account and confirm receipt with USF. The undergraduate page says USF may make exceptions or waive test results at its sole discretion.

On the undergraduate table, IELTS is 6.5 preferred and 6.0 minimum, so PTE 53 sits with IELTS 6.5 and PTE 46 with IELTS 6.0. On the graduate table, IELTS runs from 6.5 to 7.0; for example, School of Management asks IELTS 6.5 or PTE 62.

If you fall short

Undergraduates with scores at or above the minimum but below the preferred score are admitted through USF's Academic English program. Undergraduates can also skip the test with SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 560 or ACT English 22, among other options. The graduate page describes exemptions for some countries but no conditional route.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your USF programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
