What PTE score do you need for the University of Strathclyde?

Under special measures for 2026/27 entry, the page says PTE Academic Online has not been accepted since 11 August 2023 and PTE Academic (non-UKVI) has not been accepted since 1 February 2025. Applicants who booked or took a non-UKVI test between 13 and 31 January 2025 are told to contact the University through the Applicant Portal.

All English qualifications must be dated within two years of the start date of the course. The page gives no Pearson institution code.

On-campus pre-sessional English needs a SELT for the visa, and the page lists PTE Academic (UKVI) among them. Applicants at CEFR B2 who meet pre-sessional entry rules can use a listed B2 qualification instead and get a single CAS for the pre-sessional and degree.

For a Student visa, gov.uk asks for English at CEFR B2 for study at degree level or above and B1 below degree level, and says a university can assess degree-level applicants' English itself and may ask for a different test (gov.uk).

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Strathclyde programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
